There are abundant learning opportunities in production, farm business management, and marketing happening all over NY and in neighboring states. Visit the following event calendars to stay updated:
- Most county Cooperative Extension Offices offer year-round agricultural programming. If your county doesn't, call or visit other extension offices near you
- The Cornell Small Farms Program maintains several events calendars, including one for Beginning Farmer Trainings.
- NY Farms! has a statewide Calendar of Events that is one of the most comprehensive
- If grazing is your specific interest, visit the Graze NY calendar to find out about pasture walks and other grazing events
Online Course for Beginning Farmers
We are now offering this as 2 shorter (5-6-week) back-to-back courses, or one 10-week course. Current round began Feb 18, 2009 and will likely be repeated in the Fall and/or late Winter. See the online course description for more details about the course.
